The chorus is an old prayer from the Puritan Book of Prayer.

Save us from these comforts
break us of our need for the familiar
spare us of any joy that’s not of You
and we will worship you

How many times do we pray that? in a day? in our lives? do we only want to worship God when things are comfortable? are we willing to worship Him when things aren’t?
